Accuracy Is Better Than Efficiency

Picture
I have discovered that efficiency doesn’t always equal accuracy within my banking profession. Sometimes, when a deadline is given to complete an important project, an individual may utilize that deadline as a form of motivation to complete the objective promptly. Typically, this method can promote healthy multitasking and steady productivity. However, if an individual does not utilize enough time to complete the assigned task, they may miss crucial details, potentially diminishing the quality of the task. Therefore, if a completed task lacks quality concepts, the individual may need to reconduct the functions until the qualitative standards are met.

When conducting and completing an assignment, obtaining a structured plan to complete the task is essential. Critical thinking is important because an individual can examine every strand of detail within the assignment’s instructions. Reviewing the “what-if” factors and their consequences is necessary if specific instructions are not followed correctly. The Sports Management and Data Analytics course teaches how the smallest concept of details can lead to some of the biggest decisions made within all management aspects. In addition, the course informs us how analyzing various data reports plays a factor in examining different scenarios.

Analyzing the various outcomes of a task completion is very important to ensure quality and accuracy. The Intro to Evidence-Based Management course explains how it is essential to consider various resources when researching options. Using different types of resources can develop multiple conclusions for one objective. Knowledge from these courses has enhanced my thinking process and productivity when I complete multiple professional tasks. In my profession, I check daily reports regarding my branch's overall sales and service performance. I analyze the data to discover any potential factors or areas of opportunity that determine the branch's success. If there is a reported difference in sales compared to last year, I analyze various factors to indicate possible factors (i.e., branch traffic reports, customer service surveys, etc).  It is always important to complete an assigned task promptly. However, completing the task as thoroughly and accurately as possible is essential to avoid costly errors and create counterproductivity.
