Maintaining a backup plan is essential to reducing stress if you need to make an unexpected transition. In a world where change is constant, it is necessary to research to develop a structured plan in case of an unfortunate professional transition. Sports Management and Data
Analytics provides the knowledge of reviewing and analyzing data to determine if a decision is detrimental or effective. The banking industry's policies and procedures can change yearly, monthly, and even daily. These changes within these procedures can sometimes create job consolidations or unexpected, involuntary resignations. Researching and analyzing different job areas similar to one’s current profession can provide assurance and adequate preparation for the potential unexpected. For a community-oriented individual, one can develop a profession back-up plan that involves effective community outreach. In the Legacy after Morgan State course, the history of racial, social, and economic setbacks within the development of historically black colleges and universities. Histories such as these are essential because they provide an outlook on the potential objectives one may face while maintaining a degree from an HBCU within the professional world. When one understands some of this world's harmful racial, social, and economic components, he/she can better equip himself with the skillsets and knowledge to prepare for any setbacks or objectives. As a Baltimorean, I plan to use the knowledge of Baltimore's social and economic history to equip myself with the best backup plan for career alternatives in case of any drastic changes within my current national corporation employer. |
